Bell Ringers

Bell Ringers

Bell Ringers

St Peter and St Paul has a ring of eight bells. Come along to the church tower on a Thursday evening and see what is involved. (Please do not open the tower door while the bells are actually ringing). There is a knack in ringing bells which takes a little time to master, but once learnt, your ability opens up endless possibilities to develop a great tradition. We have enough volunteers most Sundays to ring at least six of the bells. We would love to be able to ring all the bells and so are always keen to teach others to join our band.

We are always in need of more volunteers so please do come along, no gardening experience necessary.

Church Flowers

A dedicated team of volunteer florists help keep the church looking welcoming on a weekly basis. The whole team contribute to special displays during the Christmas and Easter festivals. If you are planning to hold a wedding in church is it worth getting in touch with the team for help and advice (although at present we cannot offer to arrange flowers for weddings).

At Easter & Christmas you can make a monetary donation, with a loved one’s name, to go towards the flowers. The loved one’s name will be put up and read out.

Friends

The Friends of St. Peter and St. Paul was founded in 1997 with the aim of encouraging an interest in and support for the enhancement and development of the church, its monuments and its churchyards by raising funds through subscriptions and a variety of social events. The Friends achieve this by applying for grants and funding projects approved by the Parochial Church Council. There are 130 members and more are always welcome. Become a member and attend entertainment organised throughout the year, raising funds towards the upkeep of the church.
